BREAKING: Trump Jr. Knew Going in to Meeting that it was Part of Effort by Russians to Help Daddy Win

Treason anyone?  With Jr. hiring a lawyer, seemingly knowing that more damning facts are going to come out, things are not looking good for 45's son.

New info from the NY Times says that Trump Jr. knew that whatever information he was going to be given was part of Russia's larger effort to subvert the election and help his dad get elected.

From the NY Times:

The email to the younger Mr. Trump was sent by Rob Goldstone, a publicist and former British tabloid reporter who helped broker the June 2016 meeting. In a statement on Sunday, Mr. Trump acknowledged that he was interested in receiving damaging information about Mrs. Clinton, but gave no indication that he thought the lawyer might have been a Kremlin proxy.
Mr. Goldstone’s message, as described to The New York Times by the three people, indicates that the Russian government was the source of the potentially damaging information. It does not elaborate on the wider effort by Moscow to help the Trump campaign. There is no evidence to suggest that the promised damaging information was related to Russian government computer hacking that led to the release of thousands of Democratic National Committee emails.
So, while Trump originally stated the meeting was about adoption, and while that was discussed, the real purpose of the meeting was to get info about his dad's opponent.  His intent was to work with the Russian government to mess with our election process.  This is called treason, regardless of what came out of the meeting.  What more proof of collusion do we need?  You can't say it's not collusion just because you didn't get any good information.  Intent is what's important here, and Jr.'s intent was to collude.  Dump Trump!

Trump's Russia History Might Finally Get Him Impeached

With the revelations from the NY Times about Donald Trump Jr. and his meeting with a Kremlin-linked Russian lawyer, it's probably time to look back at 45's history with Russia.  It's a long and often complicated road, but it's one worth studying, for sure.

  • In 1987, in his book "Art of the Deal," Trump talked about wanting to build a hotel "across the street from the Kremlin" with the Soviet government.  This never actually happened, but it was only the beginning for the trump and Russia connection.
  • In 2008, Trump Jr. spoke at a real-estate conference and was quoted as saying, "Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets."
  • That same year, a prominent Russian businessman bought Trump's Florida mansion for two times what he'd paid for it in 2004.  He get $95 million for it.
  • Trump hosted a beauty pageant in Moscow in 2013 and talked about his friendship with Putin.  He also boasted on Twitter that "Trump Tower-Moscow" was coming soon.
  • A golf journalist says that Eric Trump in2014 stated that credit was hard to come by in the U.S., but that "We have all the funding we need out of Russia."  He denies ever having said this.
  • Lt. General Michael Flynn got $45,000 from a Russian propaganda outlet after Trump started his campaign. This was for a speech he gave in 2015, where he sat next to Putin.
  • Paul Manafort was Trump's campaign manager starting in May of 2016.  We now know he got paid over $12 million from a pro-Russia Ukrainian political party between 2012 and 2014.
The list goes on and on, and includes Jeff Sessions lying about his meetings with the Russian ambassador, Trump continually praising Putin and denying Russian involvement in election hacking and much more.  There is so much evidence that it's almost hard to put it all together.  But it's almost like the news of Trump Jr and his meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya is like the cherry on top of the whole thing; it ties it up with a cute little bow.  Let's hope Special Counsel Robert Mueller pulls it all together soon and gets rid of the garbage in the White house.  Dump Trump!

Trump Presidency: Disaster That Keeps on Coming

The Trump Presidency is a joke.  Nothing has changed on that front.  The amazing thing is that it just keeps getting worse.  The health care bill is most likely going to fail.  The wall probably isn't going to be built.  And on and on.  Even the small victories, like the travel ban being reinstated, come with caveats.  And of course, according to Trump, it's all the media's fault.

Well, in the past week things have only gone from bad to worse.  First, Trump looks like an idiot at G20, announcing that Mexico will definitely pay for the wall, right in front of the Mexican President.  Then, he walks out of a meeting for no apparent good reason, leaving his daughter as our representative there.  Then there's the disastrous meeting with Putin, where we have conflicting reports on whether or not Trump accepted Putin's denials of Russian interference in the election.  And finally, Trump touted an initiative that he and Putin discussed, a so-called 'cyber security unit' that tyhe U.S. and Russia would jointly run.  Senator Rubio had this to say on Twitter about the idea:

Now if even Rubio is ripping you a new one as the Republican President, then you're in trouble.  Trump did some backtracking, saying on Twitter, "The fact that President Putin and I discussed a Cyber Security unit doesn't mean I think it can happen. It can't."  Thinking it was a good idea in the first place, which is obviously the case, doesn't make backtracking after all the backlash any better.  He is clueless and flailing around uncontrollably, hoping to get something right.

Now, Trump's son and namesake, Donald Trump, Jr. finds himself in hot water.  The NY Times first reported that he, Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner all met with a Russian during the campaign.  At first, Jr. said it was to talk about adoption practices in Russia, but when further information came out, he changed his tune.  He's now saying it was a meeting with someone whose name he didn't know, with information he had no idea about.  So he supposedly invited Kushner and Manafort to a meeting with a nameless person with unknown information, supposedly damaging to Hillary Clinton.  Sound reasonable?  I didn't think so.  So less than a week ago the White House and various aides denied ever meeting with Russians connected to the Kremlin, now we finally have proof that they're lying.

Will anything come of this constant barrage of smoke?  Are we close to getting fire?  I sure hope so.  dump Trump!

UPDATE 2:29PM EST:  Trump, Jr. has tried to say that everyone goes to secret meetings with nameless foreign agents from adversarial countries, but tons of former campaign advisers say differently.  “I’ve been involved in 9 presidential campaigns ... never happened, never would happen for all kinds of reasons,” said GOP consultant John Weaver, who advised the White House bids by Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Sen. John McCain of Arizona.  “Senior presidential campaign officials don’t take meetings with nameless people. Doesn’t happen,” said Rick Tyler, a top aide on the Cruz campaign.

BREAKING: Huge Russia Bombshell Coming

The so-called "fake-news" network has lashed out at Trump in a big way, possibly in retaliation for the relentless attacks he has directed toward their network.  He has actually managed to build a strong, albeit fairly small, group of people who believe him when he says CNN lies about him and treats him unfairly.

Trump gets especially mad when CNN, or any other network, starts talking about Russia.  He still, to this day, refuses to acknowledge Russian meddling in the election.  And if anyone in the media mentions collusion, he goes off the handle.  It's almost like he knows they have something on him, so he attacks them even harder.

Well, now there is new information that says they do have something, and it's big, on his administration.  Check out this series of tweets from longtime White House veteran Claude Taylor:

Many people have seen these tweets and wondered why CNN isn't releasing the information, but the answer seems simple enough. This type of very sensitive and damning information shouldn't see the light of day during an ongoing investigation. Special Counsel Mueller is most likely talking to CNN and letting them know when releasing said info would be appropriate. Regardless, Trump's in a load of trouble. It's just a matter of when, not if. Dump Trump!

Trump Knows Best? Only He Thinks So

Recent decisions by our esteemed leader seem to contradict what the country actually wants.  As we all know, this doesn't matter to the narcissist-in-chief.  He doesn't care about our collective interests at all; he's only about furthering his agenda and contradicting or overturning every policy that Obama championed.

Obamacare

Recent polls finally have put the favorability of Obamacare above 50 percent, while the Senate Republicans' plan is hovering somewhere between 15-30 percent favorability.  This hasn't stopped Trump from pushing the plan, though.  He continues to describe Obamacare as a "total disaster," even though evidence overwhelmingly shows it just needs to be tweaked.  Recently he has abandoned 'repeal and replace' with a 'repeal and replace later' mantra.  Screw all the people who rely on Obamacare for their health insurance.  The only thing that really matters to Trump is getting rid of Obama's policy, regardless of who it hurts.

Paris Climate Accord

While support for leaving the Paris Climate Accord falls along party lines for the most part, it's not as striking as on other issues.  91 percent of Democrats and 35 percent of Republican respondents saying that Trump should not remove regulations intended to combat climate change.  Overall, 55-60 percent of people think that leaving is not a good idea, and that it hurts our standing in the world.  This is just another case of Trump doing what he thinks is right in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.  Business and money are more important than people's lives to Trump.

Cuba

Trump has recently spoken of rolling back re-establishment of relations with Cuba and the loosening of travel restrictions to the island, despite amazingly strong support for these measures.  Even 62 percent of Republicans support these measures.

All of these decisions by Trump seem to be made with zero thought.  It's almost as if he's just deciding based on whether the public agrees, or whether he thinks Obama would agree.  He thinks he knows best, despite what we think, but it's time to let him know he's wrong.  Dump Trump!

A Sad Day in Our Great Nation's History - But There is Hope!

Real Patriotism

As this 4th of July comes to a close, I thought I would muse on the state of our country for a moment.  A wave of disparaging editorials swept through the papers today and yesterday lamenting the state of our government, and especially our President.  Almost unanimously, these editorials gave their take on our lack of leadership, not only here in the U.S., but abroad as well.

I could write here about the silly things Trump did today or yesterday, like the 'Make America Great' song he posted on Twitter, but these things no longer make that much difference to people who follow him.  To his followers, he's a 'new' or 'modern' President, who doesn't need to follow the norms.  He tells it like it is.  To them, what he says is the truth, no matter how much, deep down, they know it's bullshit.  These people want a dictator, not a real leader.  Trump is 'God's choice'.  Can you imagine a god that would choose Trump?

Regardless of how bad it looks America can still be a great nation again, but not without our help.  We are the voices that need to be heard, the dissenting masses that need to keep at it no matter what.  There is a campaign by our President and his minions to silence or marginalize us, and we cannot let this happen.  We need to remain vigilant and not get discouraged.  This is the best way to be patriotic and show that we truly love our country.

Who Do You Trust More: Trump or CNN Poll Released - Trump Will Be Pissed!

The latest poll has been released, and it seems that no matter how many times he tweets about "fake news" (over 60 times since election day!), the people still trust the media more than they do the orange one.  Here's a chart with the main findings from the poll:

While the partisan divide is obvious, the trend is also easy to discern.  Independents are turning away from Trump in droves, and Democrats are trusting him less and less every day.  There is one incredibly disturbing result from this poll: when asked for one word when thinking about Trumps tweets, the most popular word Republicans used was "truthful".  Let that sink in for a minute.  Dump Trump!
